Our adventure into hosting short and mid-term stays started years earlier when our daughter was in high school and we hosted international student for cultural exchange. When she graduated and left home in the Spring of 2022, we stopped hosting students, and things became very quiet in our home. After a vacation to Ireland where we experienced three different Airbnb experiences as guests in other people's homes, we decided to welcome travelers ourselves! It was a great decision that led to a great adventure!

The morning light softly filters through the windows, casting a warm glow on the quaint furnishings and inviting atmosphere. As you stretch and rise from the comfortable bed, the aroma of brewing coffee fills the space, instantly awakening your senses and promising a delightful start to the day.
Stepping into the welcoming common kitchen area, you’re offered an array of tasty choices — artesian breads to toast, honey-roasted peanut butter, and an assortment of jellies and jams, along with fresh fruit and French-style yogurt in glass jars. It’s a little tradition that adds warmth to your day.
We aim to create a memorable and comforting experience that feels like being in your own personal retreat away from home.
Hosting isn’t just a hobby for us; it’s a real passion. We’ve had our fair share of Airbnb adventures as guests ourselves too. We borrowed ideas from things we most enjoyed while being hosted by others, and we incorporated some of those great features into our own guest rooms.
That’s why we set up our Willimantic apartment in Windham, Connecticut. As our second home with rooms for rent in a shared environment, it was a labor of love. It’s a cozy spot for remote workers, grad students, and traveling nurses who need a home away from home near Windham Hospital.
